Restaurants

There are no expressly vegan options for restaurants in North Adams. However, you’ll find Lickety Split to be most amenable to your requests, and the most progressive thing you’ll find from a chef will probably be at Tourist’s Lodge.  Brew Ha Ha makes a fantastic salad and has some vegan items as well.  The restaurant community is generally happy to work with your requests.

Local Attractions:

  • Of course, since you are IN MASS MoCA for the duration of EXPO, you’d be missing it if you didn’t try to at least have a gander at some of the amazing art here. Admission is included with your badge. Building 6 holds some striking exhibits, and is the home of a permanent Laurie Anderson evolving Archive. Use the "Members" line, that is located on the right side of the Box Office next to the spring coil. They have a list of Expo attendees.

  • If you’re a fan of traditional older and contemporary art, the Clark Art Museum in Williamstown also can’t be beat.

  • If you’re an outdoors person (hope you brought your hiking boots or tennis shoes!) , there are myriad hiking trails, including the Cascades trail, which leads to a waterfall, and The Natural Bridge, which is a state park. Both are within 5 minutes car ride from Mass MoCA.

  • You might have seen listings or articles about the Museum of Dog. Sadly it has closed and is being renovated into a much needed music venue, HiLo. Come back soon and check it out!
